384th Wartime Documents
Documents of the 384th, provided to assist researchers and give insight into wartime operations.
MICROFILMS: A portion of the group and squadron records were microfilmed by the Air Force Historical Research Agency at Maxwell AFB. These records were digitized by a professional service, and are made available for public access as a service of 384thBombGroup.com, with support of some generous donations. The quality of the digital images is the same as the microfilm - some of them are unreadable, just as on the original microfilm.
In general, every image caption begins with the microfilm ROLL number and FRAME number. For example: "B0373-00109". Unfortunately, the frame number corresponds only to the sequence in the digital conversion process, not the original frame on the roll, although it is usually close to the same. Most images contain the original frame number at the bottom.
NOTE that each image can be clicked to enlarge it: after selecting the thumbnail image, click on the medium-sized image displayed to display the full-sized image.
